Meet me at the Aulani character meet and greet.

When Aulani reopened in November, you could only see characters from a far. They would randomly appeared on the balcony. Aulani is in a phased re-opening. I think they are constantly adapting and trying new things.
When we went mid November, they started doing socially distanced meet and greets. You had to wear a mask, even in the photo and you could only have a max group of 5 people. You were able to switch out.

It looked something like this.
Well when we went in December they had updated their rules to say that once you were in front of the stage, the photopass photograph would direct you when it was safe to take off your mask just for the photo. The other rules stayed in place. Still only a max group of 5 people. Character hosts are still not able to touch your personal devices so you have to either take a selfie, have someone from your party take it or kindly as another guest.

If it is busy, they have told guests you're limited to one group photo only. They also tend to get capped so if you want to see a character I would be there 10-15 minutes in advanced.
In December we were able to see Mickey and Minnie in their Santa/ Holiday outfits. As well as Santa Stitch. These were quite popular.

We also noticed the lighting at the later meet and greets were not as good. Photopass is there with their flash so those photos come out better.
Baby B really enjoyed meeting the characters.
This seems to be the new way of meet and greets and I really didn't mind it. I am sad that Baby b won't be able to hug them. Maybe one day.
Until next time.
See ya real soon.
