Did you know that for a minimal fee, you can feed the fish in the Rainbow Reef?

The Rainbow fish feeding experience is offered daily. Check the Aulani App for times. When we went the times were 9:30 AM, 1 PM, and 2:30 PM. It's $7 a person and because of safety precautions there are only about 8 spaces per time slot. Day of reservations are available at the Rainbow Reef. Make sure you go early as the time slots fill up fast.

I went about 15 minutes prior to opening which was 8 AM for the time I stayed. There were about 3 groups in front of me. The 9:30 AM time slot filled up fast. I signed up for the 1 PM time slot. I had asked how it worked. We have a baby. One parent was able to be with her but kids are not able to share a cup. You'd have to buy a cup for each person feeding. This is just a reservation. You show up 15 minutes prior to your time and pay at that time. I took the 8 slots so we were the only group. We were able to have an extra person who was just wanting to take photos.

When it was our turn, Aulani's animal programs biologist met us. He told us a little about the fish and gave us a cup of fish food. He showed us the area where we could feed the fish. We were able to ask questions about the fish. 🐠

My SIL and nieces were able to stand on the top portion to feed the fish. It was picturesque.

The 1 PM slot was pretty hot. There is no shade so keep that in mind.

It is definitely a neat experience. For $7, I think it was worth it. Definitely fun for the whole family.

Until next time.

See ya real soon.
