We recently got back from Disneyland and just wanted to share how we were able to make a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance. This is not a guarantee and it's super stressful but hopefully this can try to help you get a boarding group as well.

My biggest tip is to make sure you get to the park early. You should check the night before if Disneyland is having a magical morning on the day you're going. (Disneyland- Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). We went on a Saturday and made the mistake of standing in a Magic morning/ Extra magic hour line. We had to get out and stand in a regular line. They should make the signs bigger. If you're parking in the structure make sure you leave extra early as you'll have to walk or catch a tram to the gates.
We got to Disneyland around 7:10 am and the park opened at 8 am. I feel like it was enough time but I would make sure you get there at least an hour before because you just never know. We stood in line for a little while before they actually opened the gates and started letting people in. I want to say we got in around 15 minutes prior to 8. We got in an awesome line that split like 3 times.
Once we got inside we scoped out a spot. I saw on IG you want to be away from a lot of people. We stayed closer to the gates and away from the big crowds. There was 5 of us and we decided to make smaller groups. I heard that helps but who knows. I tried to get reservations for two of us and my friend tried to make her three.
My next tip would be to make sure you have the Disneyland App. They do have kiosks for those who don't have the Disneyland app. I'm not sure where they are. I think they have several locations in the park. I just think you have a better chance especially if they have magic morning that day.
The boarding groups open when regular park hours start. They also fill up quickly so that's why you should be there early.

When you open up the app you'll see the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance- Access by boarding group. Right now the ride is only accessible by boarding group. If you want to ride, you have to get a boarding group. Click the Find Out More.

It'll take you to this screen. It'll tell you the current status of the land and which groups they're boarding. If you get a boarding group you can come back here to check how fast the groups are moving.
You can either click the Join Boarding Group but my preference is the My Status. Once the park hours officially start you should click on My Status. Then Join a Boarding Group.

If it was active you could push on it and it would request to join a boarding group.

We got boarding group 16. Which is amazing and worth all the stress.

It'll tell you what group you are. I also saw that it'll tell you that boarding groups above x number will only be called as a back up.

If they are taking back up boarding groups it'll take you to this screen with the disclaimer letting you know it'll only be called if there is capacity.

And finally when it's time you'll go in through the same spot and your boarding group will pop up with a bar code that they will scan when you get there. You'll get a push notification when your group is ready. It'll also tell you when you have to return by. I would try to go as soon as you can. A friend went a little after and it took a while because there were a large amount of groups able to board.
May the force be with you in getting a boarding group!
XOXO,
The meet me traveler
